La preparación de la coloración se hace diluyendo agua . Depués se deja enfriar la mezcla y se aplica sobre el cabello con un tiempo de exposición de 30 minutos  a 4 horas o more , con calor, dependiendo del grosor del cabello. Transcurrido el tiempo de exposición, se emulsiona la mezcla suavemente con agua templada hasta que esta quede trasparente. El último paso es lavar el cabello con champú sin utilizar acondicionador ni mascarilla
